VLearn Redesign: Hero Vired Internship
This is a redesign project of the VLearn learning dashboard, that was the major project of my internship at Hero Vired (2024)
Hero Vired is an ed-tech platform by Hero Group providing courses across different disciplines, targeted at working professionals looking to up-skill or switch careers, as well as graduates looking to acquire employable skill-sets.
Now, let's take a closer look at the older screen before we get to the redesign.
As you can clearly see, there was very little information above the fold for students to view when one of our goals was for students to explore the entire course content and fulfill all requirements not just attend live classes.
We thoroughly studied a massive NPS report with 3 sections of 3 different types of users, seperated based on the completion level of their batch: start, middle, and end. all the 3 different categories had about 250-300 responses. We were able to gather the most commonly pointed out pain points with the platform experience specifically, and sort them into 7 categories.
That paired with unstructured interviews with 15 of our users over phone calls, gave us the following insights about their pain points and issues with the older platform experience.
Our research also helped us understand who our users were…
our analysis revealed that we had to fix the layout for better navigation, and build a more interactive and easier to grasp dashboard, so we built an inspiration board-
and we made A LOT of sketches and wireframes. these were the two that matched our idea the most.
This is what the new dashboard offers…
and there's a comprehensive and engaging progress dashboard
